SecurityDog, thanks. The idea of invitees and attendees is high on my list, I think I want to add pagination and event pages first and then look at adding the UI and data for attendees and linking with discussions.

Great work @Eddiefincer , I'm hoping this extension is still being worked on. An event plugin would be key! I love the idea of having invitees (users, groups) and attendees with optional email reminders as someone else here mentioned already. Please keep up the great work! We'll be keeping an eye out for future updates.

I actually have not picked this up yet, was heads down with my day job for past couple months, but I thinks we're ready for beta .16 except for some namespace renames.
