Installation

composer require the-turk/flarum-welcome-widgets
php flarum migrate

Updating

composer update the-turk/flarum-welcome-widgets
php flarum migrate
php flarum cache:clear

Usage

Just enable the extension.

Known issues:

Widgets won't show up when you login via an external identity provider (like GitHub, Twitter, Facebook etc.) due to a bug in flarum/core.

Would it be possible to add options to switch locations of those widgets?

In my mind, I see the UserCard being right above or under the “Start a Discussion” button and the rest of the cards underneath the DiscussionList or ideally inside the footer 👀

Ralkage I'm not sure how to handle this kind of feature because there are too many places and combinations to choose. Since we don't have anything like drag & drop page builder, I think I'll encourage others to fork this extension until we come up with the solution 😕.

Pity really, as this extension looks great in my dev environment (local login) but obviously doesn't work in prod because of the fact I'm using SSO. Would love to see this working for SSO external id providers !!

I love this. It’s neat. Anything that is “neat” could get your forum more members. BUT! Especially on mobile, I don’t want to have to scroll past it every time to get to the posts. It needs to be at the bottom of the forum, or, it’s own page. Kind of like tags is it’s own page. But hey, that’s just like, my opinion man. 😉
