Is it possible for someone to create an extension that syncs the roles from a discord server to the roles on the forum?
or have it synced with Minecraft's ranks?

I would love to see that feature and synch between Flarum and Discord!

Imagine synch of ranks and permissions between your forum and Discord server!

Example usage:

(Come from https://simkl.com/settings/login/ )

It synch your:

join you to Simkl Discord server,
Set avatar,
Set username (on Simkl Discord Server),
Set rank / role (premium / vip account)

You can basically set your Discord account by 2 clicks (Connect -> Authorise)
And by smart settings the same roles like on the forum you can simply set someone as Mod / get special guild rank on forum and get this changes pushed to Discord!

What do you mean? It's just as case study showing how nice Discord <-> Flarum integration may looks like.

I would be great if we can simple join into Discord server with single click and synch name, avatar, rank etc.

As Neon Chat — native realtime chat applicaiton is not supported and not working with Flarum 1.x right now - I'm looking for alternative.

I'm ready to finanse nice Flarum <-> Discord Open Source plugin integration.
The most important function will be rank / role / group synchronisation between Flarum and Discord.

@clarkwinkelmann - are you interrested to roughly estimate how much it will cost to get it done? Or someone else want to get it done? Or maybe we can open new repo on https://issuehunt.io/ to croud found this?
