Which CMS to use in 2021?

Hi, I am looking for a CMS for a blog website that I would be able to use freely implement buttons that would redirect to other pages as well as theme my own theme using html, css, js and would be SEO friendly. It would be an additional plus point if it had built-in JSON-LD markups.
Easy installation and customization is proffered.

Exists tons of alternatives also, all depends on your requirements.

Although it gets a good bit of hate and I even get fed up with it at times, you still can’t beat the mind blowing extensive plugin and theme ecosystem that comes with WordPress. I switched to Flarum though even for my personal blog. And that’s without the blog extension (since it isn’t beta 14/15+ compatible). It just depends on what you're trying to do I guess.

010101 Personally I now use wordpress with a composer setup. Notably https://github.com/roots/bedrock best part of this is the fact that I can save plugins and stuff like that via git and deploy via git.

It really depends on what you want a CMS to do. If it's purely for a blog then Ghost is a better option than WordPress, it's a real joy to write in it and it is FAST. But... if you want to do anything more complex and less 'bloggy' then WordPress is hard to beat.

I use Grav for one of my sites (mostly static content), it's fun and has good docs. But it depends on your requirements really.

I'll also throw in WonderCMS. If all you need are static pages which you can quickly edit inline right in the frontend... and it’s supposedly the or one of the smallest. It’s super fast. But, it could get tricky if you want to drastically change the look.

I am a user and a huge fan of ProcessWire since 2014. It is php, opensource, over 15 years in constant development and a real pleasure + fun to use. Nothing could be as popular as WordPress, but popularity isn't the only thing to consider. The community is top class! Actually I found out about Flarum there.
The forum is not on Flarum though (maybe yet) ))) Try it out.

luceos the flat db design is good enough for personal blog, didn't need mysql.
