Flarum Discussion Views

I'm running into a weird issue. Only admin user can see the discussion views. Anybody seeing that?

Idk why but for several days (maybe after an upgrade + cache:clear) all my discussions are stuck with 1 view...

I find that there are few Abnormality in tracking new views, sometimes it tracks unique views perfectly well, and sometimes it doesn't and counts all views.
Forgive me for asking but how does this extension tracks unique views?

Feature Request:

please add an option to exclude tracking administrator's views, because each time I try to edit a discussion unique view panel in the right get overridden by mine.
also add an option as to who can see the users who viewed the discussion in the right panel

MichaelBelgium Is there any plan to show disussion views' statistics on Dashboard panel? such as which discussion has viewed how many times? May be google analytics is good at but I think having on statistic panel of Flarum is also good.

Brings small performance improvements for the filters (and might be huge for forums with a lot of views)
=> in stead of getting the count of the views of a discussion by a query, just increment by 1 or set immediately to 0 when resetting

I am using the latest 4.0.1 Version

As in the image you can see that the Track Unique Views isn't working, I refreshed the discussion page few times and the Viewlist was full.

Also in my view, Admin views should have toggle option

Hi..if I enable "viewlist" it hides navigation slider on browser window. Is there a way to change that behavior ?

jaypatelani If there are too much items and there are only 1 or 2 posts then u wont see the slider as it's below the list but u can't scroll down due less replies on the post

For some reason I can't enable this extension. I get 500 in the console when trying to switch it on.
I had Flarumite's discussion views installed before. I imagine that's somewhat related?

Great extension, thank you! One ask would be to have the viewlist use the display name which flarum now supports, there are a number of extensions that make use of using a nickname or alias for the display name of a user but this extension appears to be hardcoded to use the username.

As an enhancement it would be cool to be able to click "Latest viewers" and have it open a modal with a full list of unique views for the thread. Another would be to track unique views by username rather than IP, sometimes I have my username popup several times in a row in the latest viewers, I can only assume that is because I've viewed from mobile or desktop and my IP has changed.

@MichaelBelgium on this line you could use Flarum's username() helper, which will automatically render the user's display name, and default to username.

Also on this line, you could use app.route.user(user) to build the URL to the user profile, that way it will always use the correct path even if an extension changes it.

It shows [deleted] instead of "guest" if the user is null/false, hence i didn't use that. In this extension its not a removed user if it's null, its a guest.
