Operator bavard Don't know if it was mentioned, but this extension is counting all views from the same users. So if I view a discussion 10 times it will add 10 to the count. I feel that a more useful metrics would be the number of users who viewed the discussion. Perhaps you could have both options and let the admin choose. Yes, the options you want are there and you can choose as admin. The option which says Track unique views would record one view per user no matter how many times that user views the post.
bavard Operator wow ok, I should have looked more closely, as the screenshots show more options. I use this extension on freeflarum and there is no parameter, the version is v0.1.0-beta.8.3, I will suggest an update.
DursunCan https://discuss.flarum.org/d/20684-flarum-extensions-turkish-language-pack Although it has support for this plugin, the articles on my site look English.
huuduy216 I'm running into a weird issue. Only admin user can see the discussion views. Anybody seeing that?
ornanovitch Idk why but for several days (maybe after an upgrade + cache:clear) all my discussions are stuck with 1 view...
r4nchy I find that there are few Abnormality in tracking new views, sometimes it tracks unique views perfectly well, and sometimes it doesn't and counts all views. Forgive me for asking but how does this extension tracks unique views? Feature Request: please add an option to exclude tracking administrator's views, because each time I try to edit a discussion unique view panel in the right get overridden by mine. also add an option as to who can see the users who viewed the discussion in the right panel
MichaelBelgium r4nchy Forgive me for asking but how does this extension tracks unique views? By IP-address
fakruzaruret MichaelBelgium Is there any plan to show disussion views' statistics on Dashboard panel? such as which discussion has viewed how many times? May be google analytics is good at but I think having on statistic panel of Flarum is also good.
MichaelBelgium fakruzaruret such as which discussion has viewed how many times? I mean, thats what the number is next to a discussion; how many times the discussion has been viewed V4.0.1 released Brings small performance improvements for the filters (and might be huge for forums with a lot of views) => in stead of getting the count of the views of a discussion by a query, just increment by 1 or set immediately to 0 when resetting
r4nchy I am using the latest 4.0.1 Version As in the image you can see that the Track Unique Views isn't working, I refreshed the discussion page few times and the Viewlist was full. Also in my view, Admin views should have toggle option
jaypatelani Hi..if I enable "viewlist" it hides navigation slider on browser window. Is there a way to change that behavior ?
MichaelBelgium jaypatelani If there are too much items and there are only 1 or 2 posts then u wont see the slider as it's below the list but u can't scroll down due less replies on the post
jaypatelani MichaelBelgium sorry for late reply. I tested on with 300+ posts but still same issue. Attached screenshot with view list numbers "3"
danielunited For some reason I can't enable this extension. I get 500 in the console when trying to switch it on. I had Flarumite's discussion views installed before. I imagine that's somewhat related?
clarkwinkelmann danielunited what's the error from the log file (<flarum>/storage/logs) or with debug mode?
