A small update on those accent issues: the backtick issue is definitely a layout issue, nothing to do with WYSIWYG, nonetheless the circumflex issue inside lists is definitly a WYSIWYG issue (it happens regardless layout).

And since I'm there, another little misbehavior I have on my instance: when I press @something, if I press enter to validate a suggestion, it puts a new paragraph instead a space. Could you reproduce?

I have a couple issues / questions 🙂

Clicking on the emoji button inserts a colon : and then new line.
With Show rich text mode toggle on editor? enabled, there are now two preview buttons. They both have a valid function, but maybe one deserves a different label? Perhaps it could be "Rich Text"... or something of that nature just to differentiate the two. Or instead it could be inversed and have "Markdown Mode". Or maybe the flarum preview button should be changed?
~~Is it possible for other extensions to plug into this? I'd love to be able to use @clarkwinkelmann emojione with this rich text editor.~~
Edit: number 3 seems to work afterall. Maybe a cache clear or something fixed it because it wasn't initially

User24 It's definitely not incompatible. I think it should work.

askvortsov It's working only with normal discussions, not with blogs. Hope in the future we will get it done. 😃

I think for new blog posts, that extension implements its own or a modified composer/editor. For replying to existing blog posts, I think the normal composer is used so the WYSIWYG editor works there - perhaps you could verify?

To change that behavior so that this editor is available while composing new blog posts I think V17 team would need to update their extension, not this one.

It's now working for composing new blogs... it's so much weird 🥴

User24 doesn't it depend where you are composing from?

There is the "write article" option on the blog page. You can also compose directly from all discussions using the normal composer. Maybe I am wrong, I haven't updated to beta 16 so that could be new.

I enabled Toggle between old and rich text editor in the admin page, suddenly rich text editor started working in all places 😅

Yes, but we will get features like the SEO summary and all only when we compose blogs through that "write article" thing.

FYI - Somewhere up above I mention my soundcloud embed issue. I was thinking it was this extension because I never noticed the issue before. But, based on conversation happening in the formatting extension thread, maybe it's that extension, or the core text formatter code itself. It might have popped up around beta 15 or 16?

Bottom line is, sometimes things don't auto embed. 🤷‍♂️ It's inconsistent. I assume it'll be very hard to troubleshoot.

010101 All this extension does is change the editor. As long as the link isn't formatted in some way in the produced markdown, this shouldn't affect formatting.

Could you find a working post and a not working post and compare the raw markdown?

It's probably not related to this extension. The same text is used in Flarum itself.

and the cache folder .. cache file permission is changing to 644 it should be 775 I guess ~ don't know why its changing

Hari that problem is usually because the translation javascript files have not been re-generated. Sometimes clearing the cache will do it, but I'm not actually sure if it clears the javascript files every time.

Another option would be to disable and re-enable the English pack, that one should definitely force a re-compilation of the javascript.

i have tried this, first after disabling i thought i will not see any text because everything is in English and English is disabled .. 😬 but nothing happened .. i have tested this option.

do we have any language pack like English USA and English UK just to try?

i have tried both but it's not getting fixed .. is there any way to delete the ENG language pack and install it again .. doing that will cause any other problems?
