Davis Agree. That's a great deal for a person who knows what to do (basic code, repair, upgrade, maintainance, basic linux knowledge, etc).

My suggestion is suitable for person who don't know those things. Assuming, because he is asking for free hosting for Flarum ?

Digital at its current state, he's going to have more trouble installing extensions and updating on shared hosting. It's currently not ready for shared hosting.

Don't be too black and white about shared hosting ?. There are also shared hosting packages that offer ssh access. They have popped up on these forums already.

Bunch of guys are using shared hosting already. Most shared hosting these days offer ssh access by default (like fastcomet).
So i think Flarum won't have any problem running on low-end shared hosting. Just like what the description said on Flarum's main page.

This is why i love Flarum, it can run on any high-end to low-end hosting, even on shared ones!

with my experience, most of those hosting which are free just support PHP version 5.0 or below, so you'd better buy one to try it out
