[WIP] Expired Posts

I took the great necrobumping extension and turned it into a pseudo expired post extension. "Pseudo" because right now the post doesn't delete, it just gets hidden with CSS. 😀 But, it still uses all of necrobumping's features and so if a hacker tries to get around the simple CSS curtain, they still won't be able to reply. I'm not advanced enough to figure out the scheduler or how to auto delete other ways at this time.

010101 best answer uses a scheduled command. Maybe look at that, I know you are able to understand the principles of backend fairly easily and we're here to get you over that hurdle.

luceos Yes, I made sure to say “at this time” above because I can probably figure it out after a few more sessions. Session = me getting alone time to concentrate. Which is rare in my house right now. 🤪

But, I am slowly “getting it.” One part that frustrates me extension development wise is learning the different methods (if “method” is the right word?). In other words, depending on what you’re extending the right method could be “views,” “infoItems,” “headerItems,” and so on. I look in the docs of course, but so far I haven’t found a super quick, dummy proof way, to know what to use.

It took me an embarrassing amount of time just to add something to the DiscussionHero and DiscussionItem. 😅

I’ve made progress though. A month ago I wouldn’t have been able to add something to the discussion list for example (or to the index page, or the post stream), the right way. Now I can.
