If you are still seeking ideas (this is an old thread), I'd propose a "Quote of the day" widget, where:
- administrators and/or moderators can fill a sequential list of quotes, reflexions, inspirational open questions, etc
- everyday a different quote from the list is shown in the widget
In my case, I am planning to use Flarum to create a Community to discuss proposals to engage new generations in certain traditional culture events. My target community is very conservative and I think that having the chance to share inspirational quotes, success stories or open questions would help much to open their minds and build richer discussions.
I think this widget could be very applicable to whoever that wants to send targetted messages to their audience in a dynamic way. This way, users can read everyday something new. It could be an inspiration quote (like in my use case), a recommendation about a different discussion topic, an explanation about a Flarum feature, or whatever.
