sogge It seems to be extension-related, you'll most likely need to disable everything but the core Flarum extensions and then figure out which ones you were using are compatible with beta6.

It seems, in my case, it was the flagrow analytics plugin which is now compatible with beta6. For some reason though, it didn't update with composer update

However, the manual install/update worked: composer require flagrow/flarum-ext-analytics

I can confirm it's working nicely with beta6

Only on your own risk. It's still beta and lacks some basic features. Nonetheless it actually does work fine.

You are free to use for production but on your own responsibility.

Curious, is it safe to say that upgrades from beta to beta are less buggy as betas progress? For example, is it simpler/smoother/easier to upgrade from beta.5 to beta.6 as opposed to beta.2 to beta.3?

Silly question but it does help decide something for me. ?

No, you cannot upgrade to the new beta.6 version without using Composer.

For now that'll be the only way you can go about installing Flarum for yourself. Once stable is upon us there should be a much easier method as you would find with most other free forum products. ?
