luceos I only discovered it by enabling/disabling extensions one by one since i don't have access thru SSH because I'm only using a free service by InfinityFree.

The error is that, when the Byobu extension is enabled and I go back to view the discussions under a specific tag, I get an error and the discussions under that tag does not appear.

Please look at https://docs.flarum.org/troubleshoot. At least report the extensions used and the error. I assume you can somehow see the logs of your site, how else can you manage it?

is it possible to hide the"private Discusstions" button from those users who are not authorized to start private discusstions?

KJeido that site is shady. It openes several download popups of which one mentioned sms costs. Can you use pastebin or something to just copy the contents.

I'm also getting the error when trying to respond. I check the error_log in the root folder, but it is blank.

Clearing cache doesn't help either.

treyb try enabling debug mode in config.php and try again. It should show more information directly on the page.

Make sure to check in both the Flarum log file and webserver log file for messages https://docs.flarum.org/troubleshoot

treyb it looks like an email SMTP error. Are you able to send the test email from the Flarum email configuration admin page?

clarkwinkelmann yes, I hade to finagle it a bit since Cloudflare was restricting. I’m able to send emails no problem.

It appears that for some reason smtp will not send to my personal Gmail (use google suite, but domain is hosted on same server), but will send to all other emails. I think this is a cloudflare issue and not the extension. Thanks Clark!

Sure! FoF Byōbu already have a permission system which can be adjusted between user levels.

Hi! I'm was getting an error because I didn't get that I had to put a text in the "message" field, I just filled the title field with random "test" to test.
An error message saying that "the message field should not be empty" is needed for people like me 😊

syndicman the issue you are experiencing is probably this Flarum bug, known to happen when the FoF Filter extension is enabled https://discuss.flarum.org/d/34454-every-day-there-are-some-discussions-only-have-title-no-content/11

Can you confirm if you have FoF Filter, and share your php flarum info output? There could also be other extensions triggering the issue, but I doubt Byobu alone would. There's supposed to be a proper validation error but this Flarum bug causes logic errors before the error message can be returned.

I'm sorry my message wasn't very clear.
I didn't experience any errors once I entered a message, I previously just entered the title which triggered an error. And debug wasn't very helpful either.

What could that be?
