That is true, but it would be odd if when the option is selected it takes you to your profile. So I think for now this is better unless in future it is decided to have a page like the discussion page except for private discussions.

IanM Bazaar still has to get refreshed... I will try this soon. Just a point to note though, removing the option completely will show the 'Private Discussion' option to everyone even if the admin of the forum doesn't intend to let non-admins use private discussions (take Discuss for example). You don't have to add this feature back now (or ever) but I thought I'd just bring this up.
therealsujitk perhaps a future improvement is to add a permission check before adding the page and session dropdown link.

I can't seem to find a way to change the "recipients" at post time. It seems I can only change them after I post. Am I missing something?
ScottBeeson you’ll see a ‘recipients’ label to the left of the private discussion title. Tap that, and you can add or remove any recipients as required.
What do you mean "private discussion title"? I'm just clicking "Start Discussion". Is there different way to start a private discussion that I'm missing?
After updating get this error when trying to create or reply to Private Discussion (by the way new discussion or reply arrives anyway):
"Oops! Something went wrong. Please reload the page and try again."
p.s. Replying in or creating common discussion is ok
ScottBeeson Yes, private discussions are created from the user profile page. Click on your username (top right), select 'Private Discussions', then 'Start a Private Discussion'
SilverPoplar most likely this is due to a mis-configured email setup. Check your mail settings in /admin

I'm just playing on localhost with flarum, so email is not configured.
SilverPoplar I'd suggest setting the mail driver to log in that case
SilverPoplar you can set email driver to log on localhost, so that emails are written to logs and don't error.

Are there any supported method for import from another DB for the messages? Such as if I had a phpbb site ( or mybb ) and wanted to import?
IanM Just curious... Did you remove the previous feature if selecting recipients on clicking Start a Discussion? Or is this an error.
therealsujitk It's been moved so that it only shows when you're in the private discussion area. I think this is a good improvement as it better mimics the existing expectations of users coming from other Forum software.
