How can I enable adb without a screen? When a usb is plugged in, it defaults to usb charging. Can't even use it as a drive. From my experience you need to enable dev mode before you can turn on adb.

I'm thinking more of a UART ttyl conection. If it exists.

Why do you need a screen? You don't need touch to activate usb debug. Go rogue and guess the combo moves to vitcory ?

I've actually got a near new Nexus 5 I'm selling that I completely forgot about! I was going to move to it from the iPhone 6s but then the Pixel was announced.

Nexus 6 here and i love it.

Pointers - If you are going Android - go for pure android phones (google designed phones like Pixel and Nexus to name a few).

You do not want does bloatware apps on your phone if you go the other way.

I also recommend getting One Plus android phones - Great specs for almost half of the price vs other high-end phone manufacturers.

Having the lastest Android is great, but it already broke a lot of stuff for me. Some cheap and old apps are not compatible with Android 7 yet (and will probably never be, like this remote control app for a Chinese quadcopter I bought) and more recently the new GBoard that just sucks in any language other than English...

The choice of phone really is up to the individual on how they use it and what they need it for; a perfect example in the previous post. I know myself that I love having the latest software with iOS and any apps that I use are either compatible before the upgrade is implemented or is ready soon after.

This is how much I don't really care anymore... I just remembered this s6 edge plus is actually a s7 edge. They are nearly the same phone & I had to put in a claim for replacement some months ago. I could perhaps use the screen a touch bigger, but no complaints on memory, cpu or anything else.

The only phone I felt limitations on was my first smartphone a s2 skyrocket. It got freakishly hot & I had to clear the memory of running + unused apps constantly. Haven't felt the heat or depletion in any upgrade since.

Currently rockin' an iPhone 6S. I'm looking to change over to possibly a Pixel within the next year or so. My iPhone is great and does everything I want it to do, but I just kinda want a change of pace if you know what I mean. I will probably upgrade to the Pixel whenever they come out with the second generation of them.

Samsung Galaxy S6 ? I dont follow the "must have latest" culture. my previous phone was an s3 mini! upgrade every few years when these things are literally unable to boot.
