We added a section for extension developer in the Bazaar README: https://github.com/flagrow/bazaar#extension-developers

The important addition is a new composer.json key: extra.flagrow.discuss. You can fill this key to link your extension with its presentation post here on Discuss. This information will soon be visible in Bazaar and Flagrow.io, so you can already add it to your extensions !

Have a look at Bazaar's owncomposer.json file to see how it's formatted.

Of course this key isn't required for your extension to be available in Flagrow.io/Bazaar ? It's just a nice addition.

We might soon add other keys that will allow you to add screenshots to an extension for example. Stay tuned.

PS: this is not all of the surprises luceos mentioned. More stuff is coming ?

Hello!

I installed this plugin, but when I install a new plugin, it keeps saying that it's processing, so I refresh the page and then it keeps loading. After like 5 minutes, then it gives me a weird error page, and then loads. Is there a fix to this?

Could you give us the message that appears on that "weird error page" and the related logs in your flarum.log or server log files ?

Do you know how much RAM is available for PHP on your server ? Less than 1GB can result in failed installations. Bazaar tries to raise the default limit but this can be blocked by your host.

You can also open an issue at https://github.com/flagrow/bazaar/issues to keep this thread cleaner ?

I have gotten Bazzar to work now. My Flarum install was down for about an hour. Can't figure that out, but it's back up. Only thing is that when I install a plugin via Bazaar, it takes maybe like 2 minutes and then says there is an error via a popup. I then click the refresh button that shows and then it installed it. I don't know why that happens. ?

[deleted] this is likely a memory issue. If you've got an error in your install logs or in the Bazaar "tasks" page we'll be happy to investigate. Otherwise it's probably your setup that's a bit short of memory or has a short max execution time.

We really could use some logs to pinpoint your error a bit. Feel free to open an issue on github so we can do a proper, dedicated investigation.

Cloudflare is very powerful, many settings could totally blow up your website if not configured correctly ? (and this does not only apply to Flarum/Bazaar)

That being said, if you use the defaults and correctly clear the cache every time you enable or disable an extension, it should be totally compatible ?

yes, that is what I do clarkwinkelmann. I usually just enable development mode so changes are instant. I do think the Bazaar plugin is causing the issue.

The weirdest thing happened, apologies I'm a total beginner.
So I installed Bazaar, then when I tried installing an extension through Bazaar, I got this error:

When I hit the refresh page, my Bazaar menu in the admin just VANISHED, and then I saw the extension I was trying to install in the Extension menu. I'm helpless here! What happened!

KeneOhiaeri how did you install Bazaar ? It looks like Bazaar was not fully installed.

Given that exception happens after the actual command, the extension was still properly installed.

As I said it does not look like a bug on our part but if you have additional info please post it here or at https://github.com/flagrow/bazaar/issues and we'll take a look ?

I installed it locally and uploaded the vendor folder, I got to re-upload the vendor folder, and tried re-installing an extension. I'm now getting a 503 service unavailable error, I use an ASP based shared hosting and I contacted the host, they said every other site on their server is functioning fine.
The flarum.log file is saying something like DEBUG: exception 'Flarum\Http\Exception\RouteNotFoundException'
Any help please?

KeneOhiaeri You're not getting the full error (RouteNotFoundException is unrelated). Can you set debug to true in your config.php file and try accessing your forum again ? You should get a more verbose output.

Also, are you sure the 503 error comes from Flarum ? It's usually a proxy or the webserver itself that throws this error. If setting debug to true does not change the 503 error page, could you share a screenshot of it ?

I have no experience with ASP... I don't know what could be an ASP-based PHP hosting ? Is it just a shared server with both ASP and PHP enabled ? (I hope PHP is enabled !)

I really loved the name Bazaar. It literally means market in Telugu, my mother tongue. I'll be testing it soon.

My page loads somewhat slow and there are some errors:

ericm9 re-enable any other extension. The translations aren't loading, this is unrelated to Bazaar which seems to be working perfectly.

ericm9 I get this exact same thing when installing.
Can't click the "save" button when the modal is displayed for the token, either.
The name in the nav panel on the left is the same as yours and the errors at the top are the same.
