Made a donation for removal of the A free forum powered by FreeFlarum (remove this footer) section. Weeks later still there?

rubberducky Sorry, we are currently doing footer removal manually and your invoice must have slipped by. Send us a mail to info@freeflarum.com and we will take a look.

idkwhatusername We are aware of that, however we need to tidy some stuff first before updating. Some packages require certain versions of other packages, and updating some could break FreeFlarum. I searched for some I could update in the recent extension update, but that didn't work. In other words, an another extension update will happen, but you'll have to wait :/

I think this update will happen when Flarum beta.14 is out, which should hopefully be soon. Extensions will need to be updated, as this release will change the API.

For now, it is safe to ignore these notices.

Thank you for your update. I'm using freeflarum.com very well. However can I ask you something:

    1. About donations, are you removing the footer correctly? Because some guys are saying they didn't get that service, that's why.
    2. Do you have any plan to add a korean language pack? I made one for our business but it's a completed one so it will help.

UndeadLime I'm happy to hear that your forum is doing well : )

      1. We currently remove footer notice manually. The invoice just slipped by my watch, and it has been fixed now. If you have any issues, you can mail us, send a message here or at GitHub - everything will work, and we will try to fix it and help you. Usually, the footer gets removed within 12 hours.
      2. If you request it, then yes, we do. We do not add extensions that are not requested, because more extensions have a higher chance of breaking something, so we review/add only those that are requested and that have a higher demand than others, and minimalistic ones or the ones that shouldn't break anything. Language packs are fine and usually shouldn't break anything. If you create a request at the GitHub, I'll check it.

A small warning for our FreeFlarum users that they should be careful with what extensions they enable - some have potential to break stuff up, or even brick your forum. In the case that happens, please reach out to us so we can fix the issue (see #150 for example). I won't have that much time to debug things from now on, but I'll try to respond to requests and E-mails, so please report any bugs you find.

Hi does freeflarum have some api? I want to send replies to my freeflarm forum to custom discussion from my node.js app.

Also i have question: Is there some extension that auto-deletes user accounts on forum that are inactive with option to setup custom inactivity days for email reminder and deletion + email notify. Its sad that Freeflarum has 250 user limit :/

idkwhatusername Also i have question: Is there some extension that auto-deletes user accounts on forum that are inactive with option to setup custom inactivity days for email reminder and deletion + email notify.

Not at the moment, and probably not in the near future either.

Its sad that Freeflarum has 250 user limit :/

It's more like a "soft-limit". FF has forums with more users which run fine as of right now. But if you want full-control over your forum, self-hosting might be the best option for you.

I totally understand that you feel this way. As SKevo points out, FF has a soft limit; I bet this is just to safeguard against abuse of the platform. And please remember, FreeFlarum is free; that doesn't mean it doesn't cost anything. Be appreciative of what they give instead of disappointed of what they don't.

luceos well said! I think FreeFlarum serves a great purpose at providing users a way to start their community and explore how Flarum works. It is a great, fast and free way to connect people together to build something greater! Once you are growing bigger, you can consider moving to a self-hosted forum instance to unlock more options & potential with your community. It is, of course, up to you - FreeFlarum does not lock anyone to use their service!
