Recently, I've taken a look at the security of FreeFlarum & its forums and we have tweaked all the security headers & policies for all forums, so they can be more secure. And so now, they receive a fancy A+ grade on https://lab.migratetoflarum.com/ & https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest + some other services. Try it with your own forum (note: if you're using a custom domain, the grade might vary - it depends on your domain configuration, but I have tested it with some standard FreeFlarum forums and every single one got an A+, which is awesome)!
We've tried our best to not limit the functionality of certain things such as iFrames (if you want to have your forum framed on your site). Also, keep in mind that some restrictions must've been put in order to maintain the functionality of the forums, so some testers might dislike us for that.
Along with that, our emails have been given better protection. Our mail server is now more stable too, so long-live no downtimes 🙂 (Side-note: there were some outages in the past, either that FreeFlarum was not able to send any mails and later that it couldn't receive any mails - including donation receipts, so we couldn't remove some footers. If we've missed someone, please contact us).
A change was recently made to error pages too (for example when you try to reach a non-existent forum). It now contains information on how to proceed in case the forum was removed or is unavailable and other useful information. Try to reach a forum that doesn't exist to see an example of the 404 error.
