  • Free Flarum hosting on an expert platform by FreeFlarum.com

All forums are currently being upgraded to Flarum 1.3.0. Syncing them is necessary, in order for them to become fully operational. You can either wait or sync them manually in the FreeFlarum settings page. If everything goes well, recently requested extensions will be installed too

Is it the "fix up your forum" button? It doesn't work for me (the button doesn't open any page).

TB54 yes, that's a known issue. It appears as if it does nothing, but if you stay on the page for long enough, the request will eventually be processed and your forum will be synced. This will be fixed in the future

Alternatively, you can tell me your forum name and I'll sync it for you

That's nice of you but there is no rush, it was just to report the problem :-)

Merged 1 post from Update Flarum!!!.

SKevo After I do a manual sync, Flarum asks me to enter the database password and update Flarum. What should I do?

Cubik65536 that shouldn't happen, fixing up your forum should migrate your database too (Flarum only asks for database password when a database needs to be migrated).

Try syncing it again, or reply with your forum name and I'll do it for you

            @SKevo all Freeflaum sites down:
Flarum encountered a boot error. Details have been logged to the Flarum log file.

Hi. All my extensions are disabled 😅 www.unitedbsd.com any way to restore ? Or manually have to do it ?

Edit : Manually turned on. Hope i got them all 😛

tom23 it's because of FreeFlarum upgrading all forums to Flarum v1.3.0, which I've announced here. If your forum is still unaccessible, please tell me its name and I will sync it for you.

jaypatelani AFAIK no extensions should be disabled automatically after an upgrade both from Flarum and FreeFlarum's side, so I am not sure what exactly went wrong there. However, I am glad that you hopefully sorted it out, please let me know if you need further assistance

hi! it is working fine now. Would it be possible to put there a message "Updating e.g!" for the forum instead of error message? my users went crazy and bombed me by instant messenger 😃

TeamF unfortunately, no... for the most part. We currently have no control over how Flarum displays error nessages, but this might be achievable via extenders or some fancy JavaScript + Nginx error pages in the future.

SKevo you can turn maintenance on during upgrades. This is done using the offline key in the config.php. It would probably also be possible using an extender to make it tenant aware.

luceos oh, thank you for letting me know, I forgot that Flarum has a maintenance mode. We'll make sure to turn it on next time when we are doing upgrades

SKevo I forgot that Flarum has a maintenance mode

I'm lost, is there one on freeflarum? The advice here (through config.php) is not achievable on freeflarum, and I see no maintenance extension (there is one, but not free and not proposed on freeflarum).

TB54 it's something that we will have to enable for all forums during an upgrade. Nothing is required from your side

SKevo I was more talking about the possibility to put the forum in maintenance mode any time (when you want to change an extension, the code, or whatever).
