From what I've observed, mentions seem to work. Posting is slower, but it eventually loads and the post is sent (± 10 seconds). I think that this is just because of higher server load.

I'd also like to alert everyone who is using custom/external SMTP settings to temporarily revert back to the default settings (Host: 127.0.0.1, Port: 25, Username, Encryption and Password empty). The current server is too new, and our host applies limits to outgoing traffic (which affects E-mail sending). It is a thing that none of us thought about. I expect that this limit can be lifted after approx. 20 days - until then, you will have to stick with FreeFlarum's E-mail server (or until we find a way around this)
Note that this is almost certainly the reason why are posts sending forever. Flarum waits for the E-mail to be sent before it render the page - if that fails, an error is shown. However, the post is saved in the database successfully - that's why its visible on page reload.
