  • Free Flarum hosting on an expert platform by FreeFlarum.com

Felli I like it, but the extensions section of the admin dashboard wouldn't work. Hosted Flarums cannot modify the code (for the sake of security and maintenance).

I see "FreeFlarum aims to be self-sufficient by running a small amount of ads on the provided forums and charging a fee for larger forums (>100 users)." on About page.
Is that mean if my forum users over 100 then I cound't use freeflarum free anymore?

YohoYang Yes for now. However I am researching the option to keep larger forums free as well. It depends on the ad revenue, which I haven't implemented yet.

Guarantee: if, at any point, you are unhappy with FreeFlarum.com, you can always download your forum data and host it elsewhere.

And.... Today when I'm config extensions, the flarum was broken.
Maybe we need a "reset" button on control panel.

Felli Is not a cache error... But maybe cache is on cdn. I will try it.

      ==========
turn off cdn, then all is fine.

Wow, this is pretty awesome! You are going all out! I like that you want Flarum to be successful and are taking proactive steps to help it become that way. Great job! Once I figure out an awesome domain name, I will be signing up and utilizing your service.

      Thanks!

I found out that nearly everybody using Flarum for the first time (at FreeFlarum) stumbles across the nojs=1 error. I've spent about a day debugging and I think I found two bugs in Flarum that would cause this. If you know PHP, feel free to help implement the solution, as it is a major obstacle for new users trying Flarum.

Ok, a quick fix is implemented on FF.com for all new forums! I will monitor for new nojs errors, but I expect they are gone now. Let me know if you still encounter problems.

People really appreciate my efforts to help them out for free ?

Maybe "free" in the name induces a healthy suspicion of corporate interests. Suggestions for a better name?

Sanguine Don't change the name, there will always be some backlash no matter how good you do. FreeFlarum is quite simple to remember and straightforward to tell it's purpose. So it's the best name from my point of view and you are doing a great work with it.
Just focus on the half glass full and not the half empty glass. ?

Sanguine don't change the name. You're doing great. If for some reason people dislike your posts they can use the flag feature. In addition if any of your posts would have breached our guidelines they would have been removed already.

To hell what people say brotha, that person is just a hater ?

I will still continue to support FF! (And still on track with what we spoke about earlier in the week ?)

Sanguine Is Custom Domains still workable? can't find it in the settings section with admin role.

jazzi Once you go to the FF site there is a menu option for you to login, there is an option to use a custom domain.

Felli Done. The section is on freeflarum.com not mydomain.freeflarum.com. Thank you guys.

FYI I've changed my forum name from FreeFlarum to Sanguine to comply with forum rules.

              sanguine

Actually, I should change my avatar color ?
