thedude SKevo Please add this extension https://discuss.flarum.org/d/849-hyn-default-group-assigning-default-group-to-new-users
thedude Felli But, I see that users not in any group can't post. It says something went wrong. But when I add that user to a group like admin, mod or whatever created, they can post.
luceos thedude users that sign up are in a hidden (not editable) group called Members; you can give that group permission to post.
thedude luceos Members are permitted to post by default and everything is okay there I think. here's a snap of it https://ibb.co/gerK4o
thedude luceos I just created a test account in 2nd mentioned forum of @Somyrion > tried posting > it worked. Looks like something is wrong in my forum's permission. But I can't see any. Members have been given permission to create discussion by default. And i didn't changed that, I did some changes in the lower end though.
Somyrion I tried creating a new forum with FF for a community I'm building, but apparently I've reached my forum creation limit. ? There are at least two FreeFlarum forums that I've created which I know I won't ever use again, and would delete to be able to create this new one (https://lazarus.freeflarum.com and https://foresttest.freeflarum.com) but I can't find a way to do this. Is there such a way to do so?
waynemakes thedude I'm having the same issue. Users get "Oops" errors. I can't even see my "members" permissions. thedude It's because of Askimet. If you disable, it'll work, or if you set it up correctly, it should work as well.
Shyuan Hi @Sanguine, it's really awesome to see freeflarum.com. May I ask if I were to use a custom domain using CNAME, how do I deal with the SSL part? Since subdomain.freeflarum.com gets SSL applied automatically. Thank you in advanced.
thedude Shyuan You can get ssl from Let's Encrypt Authority by using sslforfree.com. You can get a wildcard SSL for free. Go to the website > enter your domain ( for wildcard input like this *.yourdomain.tld > verify your domain ownership > install in your server . Done! Congrats ! ?
Sanguine Shyuan FreeFlarum will do it automagically for you, just add CNAME, enter your custom domain at freeflarum.com and... poof! SSL.
Celemo There is a possibility to add the Bazaar extension ? https://flagrow.io/packages/flagrow/bazaar https://github.com/flagrow/bazaar https://discuss.flarum.org/d/5151-flagrow-bazaar-the-extension-marketplace
luceos Celemo bazaar allows installation of any extension which is not how the freeflarum platform works as extensions installed are available (and also are able to break) all freeflarum flarum forums.
jordanjay29 arda If you're going to put ads and make money on your Flarum site, don't you think it would be better to do it on a host you pay for?
arda jordanjay29 Hosting will be free, but the domain will be paid, so technically I am going to pay somewhere, my goal is not to make money.
