    ann when i change to 8.0, i can not open my flarum, it said composer need PHP 8.1 🙂

        I can't download your log files as they need log in.

        meihuak And i create many accounts, some of them can get 1 notification, then it won't get new notification.

        You can only get 1 notification per discussion. And I'm curious whether you expect more notifications than Flarum provides (without extensions). Can you:

        • explain when exactly you expect a notification?
        • explain how you tried to replicate/reproduce receiving that/those notifications?

              meihuak the only issue I see is proc_open not being enabled on your system, but that shouldn't prevent the notification bell from showing items.. Regardless it might solve your problem, can you enable that function on your system for php? I know nothing about your server, so you'll need to use the internet to find exactly how to do that based on your OS.

                    luceos hey boss, i have enabled the function "proc_open", but there is still this problem.

                    i made many tests then i found the problem. Only admins and mods reply the post, then the user of the post can get the web notifications. Also the user reply the post of admins and mods, then admins and mods can get the web notifications.

                    So maybe there are some mistakes in the permissions setting?

                      Can you share a screenshot of the user settings page that relates to the notification settings? Can you confirm, for a user that does not receive anything, that they have the right checks toggled?

                        I notice only admins and mods are allowed to reply without approval. This might very likely be the cause of your issues 🤔 . Flarum prevents sending the notification because the post hasn't been approved and it might not be listening to the event once approved to send the notification in hindsight..

                        This needs further research.

                              meihuak a generic solution in flarum/approval would be best I think. For your use case for admins/mods you can probably create an extension yes.

                                  luceos do you have a plan to solve this in v1.5?
                                  if you dont have a plan, i will pay someone to help me develop an extension.

                                      meihuak we don't have a solution for this yet. You can also commission fixes to core by the way, but as we've already entered QA and thus feature freeze, it won't be added to v1.5 anymore. Fixing this in core first would make a lot of sense as any extension might need to be updated when this fix is released.
