FYI mailgun suspended our SMTP account because of complaints, so receiving mail is currently not possible for FreeFlarum domains. We'll be looking into a solution but there is no ETA right now.

Hi, I am not getting my admin email with password after creating a new forum. Is there other ways I could get this password?

    No ETA - we've got a little time, COVID-19 behind the door, more important work to do and other stuff as well, so we've got only a little time to do little things, but we're doing what we can to combat this unexpected problem. We're sorry, everyone.

      All forums are currently down and reporting a "Timeout" error, I'm currently investigating it.

      All forums should be operational now. We're sorry for the inconveniences. We will attempt to find the root cause of the issue to prevent it from happening.

        You're not the only facing this issue. AFAIK, only GMail and QQ users are affected. If it's urgent, you could use a temporary mail service or some service that will accept the mail I guess.

          Upon dozens of failed attempts, the mail seems to finally work now, or at least for GMail.

          We apologize to everyone that couldn't create their forum past week and this week.

          In case you have registered a forum and didn't receive the mail and want to re-create it, please reply to this thread or mail us at info@freeflarum.com. I will remove the "broken" forum, so you can re-create it and receive the password.

          I will do some more tests & tweaks to be 100% sure it works today & maybe later, if I find some spare time.

          Yeah, but when someone sends an email to FF, it doesn't arrive. Strange. At least we can send mail, so I guess this is a half-win. Maybe tomorrow, the other half will be fixed.

          Edit: Ah, I get what you mean now. Yes, you can use password recovery to recover your forum.

            Mails should now work properly, also on my side since I was using the old Mailgun settings. I will have to use my personal address. Totally forgot about that 🤦

            There is, however, still a chance that some mail will end up in the deferred mail queue. This is where invalid mails that couldn't be sent end up - such as when an E-Mail address is invalid or misspelt, FreeFlarum is not able to send it so it places it into this queue. So, if an E-Mail doesn't arrive at our server, there is a chance that it got caught there. In the case none of us replies within 24 hours, please re-send your mail.
